The Blessing Way
I was born unto this Mother Earth
through the Great Spirit
Into the loving arms of my Parents
and in the presence of
my brother and sisters.
I have prayed with them
I have worked with them
I have laughed and cried with them
But now I must leave
for my place in the clouds.
Among my loved ones
and return my body back to
Mother Earth
Remember me as though I am here
For I am in the morning dew
The sunset and in the stars of the night
I am not dead
But alive with my maker.
